Paper Roller Coaster Project

Purpose: You are to design and build a roller coaster that will have a marble experience potential energy converted to kinetic energy.

Your “roller coaster” needs to illustrate the material learned in Chapter 5. Do not be afraid to experiment and try something out of the ordinary. Remember, it is important to draw on the knowledge and creativity you must create a functioning roller coaster.

Design Restrictions:

1. The roller coaster will be built out of paper, tape, and a cardboard/poster board base

2. Minimum of 2 loops!

a. The group with the most successful loops will receive bonus points!
