Popular Music Genres Google Slides Presentation with Video Link

This Google Slides presentation discusses country, rock, R&B, hip hop, jazz, electronic, and reggae music genres. A 5:22 video link of the slides with a voiceover is included. The slides show where the genre originated, when it originated, the root music styles, instruments, sub-genres, and popular artists. The Google Drive folder includes the Google Slides presentation, a PDF copy of the slides, and the video link.

* Please note that audio clips of songs are not included, but it includes slides with recommendations of songs to play for your students. I chose songs that I felt were appropriate to play for my students. For this reason genres, such as hip hop, may not have song recommendations that are the truest representation of the genre, but they should be school appropriate.
