Description

This is a Google Slide presentation about factoring polynomials, FOIL method, and quadratic formula. It has steps to do the FOIL method, factoring the greatest common monomial, the difference of two squares, perfect square trinomials, and trinomials with any leading coefficient, and examples with the answer on the following slide. Therefore, you can show students the presentation and explain each example on the slide in blank; then, show them the answer on the following slide. Include quadratic formula and a world problem using the quadratic formula.

Understand that polynomials form a system analogous to the integers, namely, they are closed under the operations of addition, subtraction, and multiplication; add, subtract, and multiply polynomials.
Identify zeros of polynomials when suitable factorizations are available, and use the zeros to construct a rough graph of the function defined by the polynomial.
