What educators are saying

Love notes from this seller! Easy enough for the students to follow along while still being engaged with the lesson.
I loved this resource to address this topic with my students! I used it originally before the 2020 election to help them get a better grasp on the topic but have continued to use it each year and it is very helpful

Description

This product includes two days of lessons that will teach your students all about America's two-party system. The product includes a warm-up prompt, an editable 16-slide power point presentation about our political party system (with video links), student cloze notes, and a political party simulation that will bring the two-party system to life for your students. The simulation comes with detailed instructions to carry out the activity in your classes. The process and discussion questions will show students how the two-party system forms, the decisions we must make in choosing major vs. minor parties, and the differences that exist even within the major parties. The notes are editable to fit your curriculum and highlight themes such as: minor vs. major parties, the history of the two-party system, reasons the two-party system persists in the US, the core beliefs of the Democratic and Republican parties, etc. The resources included in this product are a great introduction to political parties!
