What educators are saying

One of my favorite things to use with my students - they responded really well to it and it aligned perfectly with my standards!
They NEVER saw it coming! Yes, they had a great time ! They were also shocked to know what they really believe!

Description

Students can have very strong opinions on many of the topics that surround the news today (often their parents' opinions, but opinions all the same). But do they really know if they are truly conservative or liberal: democrat or republican?
This activity explores all of their beliefs and thoughts on a number of world/national issues and begin to filter their political preferences to one side of the spectrum or the other. This IS NOT an exercise to pin students against students, but rather to show the importance of a two party system.
It is a fun activity for the both the teacher (you get to see what they really value) and the students (they get to figure out where they lie on the "political spectrum").
This lesson includes a survey for the kids, a review section for the teacher to use in scoring, and discussion points to talk about in class after they "score" themselves.
