Description
A task to take your students through discovery of what polar coordinates are and the graphs that they make. Students should be able to complete this alone or with a partner with little to no instruction - as stated, an investigation!
The investigation will take students through the following:
Part I: Plotting Polar Points
Part II: Polar Graphs
Part III: Conic Sections in Polar
Part IV: Students create graphs
For a themed project that explores the fun graphs that polar coordinates can create, check out my Polar Coordinates Date Project!
