Description
Help your young learners develop their fine motor skills with fun, engaging pokey art activities! Print these six pokey art pages off and staple each one to a piece of construction paper. Give your young learners a large thumbtack with which to poke the paper on each dot. Children can do pokey art on the floor of the classroom or at their seats if they each have small carpet square to place under their pictures. The result will be a beautiful "pokey art" picture. Pokey art is a great center activity for kindergarten and first grade. I do pokey art once a week (and try to align it with a reading, science, or social studies topic) in a center activity and kids love it! You'll find six pokey art activities in this winter collection: a snowman, penguins, a polar bear, mittens, George Washington and Martin Luther King, Jr.
