Description

Spend a few days with what’s been called Poe’s “perfect” short story: “The Cask of Amontillado” from my American Romantic and Transcendental Writers Unit and my American Literature Bundle (please do not purchase both). Students develop their vocabulary and their literary analysis skills before spending some time analyzing Poe’s use of setting and irony. Students wrap up Poe’s story with a flash fiction gothic horror story assignment and/or a test. All teacher notes and keys included. CCSS aligned.
