(19 pages) Included are two excellent hands-on activities. In the first, students will color code the locations of rock and fossil evidence on giant sized continents. Students then cut out these continent models and position them according to the ancient evidence. The goal is to arrange the continents in the positions they were in 225 million years ago based on the evidence of rocks, fossils, glaciers, and mountains. The second hands-on activity is a model of sea floor spreading and helps students visualize the evidence supporting the idea that the sea floor is spreading apart at the mid ocean ridges. These are two outstanding learning activities!
