Planning a Vacation Project - Authentic Task

Planning a vacation Project is a partner research project perfect for the end of the year! Students research a location (either chosen by them or given by you), and they follow the outline provided. Students will research the costs for transportation, meals, accommodations, sight-seeing, and any other incidental. Make it even better by giving the students a budget, the manner in which they will get to their destination, or how long their trip will be. Math is integrated by asking the students to keep track of their spending (decimals, multiplication, addition, subtraction).

Students have a blast researching different locations and attractions! Once the research is done, students can present their findings in a PowerPoint or on a poster to their classmates.
