Plains Cree SRO Animals Word Search No Prep

With this captivating 10 page digital resource with 1 information page on Plains Cree Language and 10 page answer keys, students can gain knowledge of both Plains Cree Animals and English Animals, while advancing English literacy and developing proficiency in Plains Cree in a fun, hands-on, and educative way. A Plains Cree Animal word search has been designed using Syllabics Roman Orthography (SRO) which is one of the ways to read/write in Plains Cree to spark student curiosity and allow them to obtain an understanding of the language. This resource is both engaging and pleasurable, giving students the chance to learn in an exciting and gratifying manner. Through its use, students will be able to develop a comprehensive knowledge of Plains Cree Animals and English Animals, while also honing their English literacy and Plains Cree reading and writing skills. Students will learn to write the English name of the Animal and then write the Plains Cree counterpart right across on the word search on the bottom.
