Your resources are always a huge hit. My kids were so engaged with this. It was a great tool to use at whole group, small group and at stations. Thank you!
Students seemed to be really engaged with the product. They were able to manipulate it and work with the resource effectively to learn place value.

About the Activities (That can be used in SEESAW, GOOGLE Classroom, or through PowerPoint):

*All activities have 13 slides. The first slide is an example slide so students know exactly what to do!

1. Show the Number: Students are shown a 3 Digit Number in Standard Form and Word Form. Students have hundreds, tens, and ones place value blocks. Students move the hundreds, tens, and ones needed to create the number. Students either type or write the digits in the place value chart.

2. What is the Number?: Students are given the expanded form of a number. Students have hundreds, tens, and ones place value blocks. Students move the hundreds, tens, and ones to the place value chart to create the number. Students type the standard form of the number. Students type the word form of the number.

3. All About Numbers Students are given a set of place value blocks that make a 3 digit number. Students count the blocks to find the number. Students type the number shown. Students type the word form. Students then move the numbers to make the expanded form of that number.

4. Make the Greatest Number: Students are given three digits. Students move those digits and create the greatest number possible. Then students will type the expanded form and word form of the number that they created.

*Please Note: The activities in this resource are the same activities in the 2 Digit Place Value resource. However, they are all done with 3-Digit Numbers.

*This purchase is for SINGLE USE ONLY. To share with other teachers or teammates, an additional license will need to be purchased.

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Understand that the three digits of a three-digit number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones; e.g., 706 equals 7 hundreds, 0 tens, and 6 ones. Understand the following as special cases:
100 can be thought of as a bundle of ten tens - called a “hundred.”
The numbers 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 refer to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine hundreds (and 0 tens and 0 ones).
Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.
Compare two three-digit numbers based on meanings of the hundreds, tens, and ones digits, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
