What educators are saying

I love how differentiated this activity was! It helped my students stay engaged the whole time and gave a very clear idea of who truly understood place value.
My students loved using this resource in maths' rotation- activities. I can use with both grade 1 and 2. Really good for differentiation. Thanks

Description

Place Value House Craftivity

Place Value House Craftivity - a fun and engaging way for students to consolidate their learning of the various ways numbers can be represented! This product comes in three versions to cater to different grade levels - Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3, each focusing on different place value concepts.

Each version includes two templates based on the terminology you use, allowing for customization - 'Tens and Ones/Units house' for Year 1, 'Hundreds, Tens and Ones/Units house' for Year 2, and 'Thousands, Hundreds, Tens and Ones/Units house' for Year 3.

The craftivity covers four important representations of numbers - standard form, picture form, expanded form, and word form. Students can print numbers and MAB (multibase arithmetic blocks) pictures onto colored card as shown on the product cover. They can then randomly draw numbers to create their own 2, 3, or 4-digit number, and demonstrate their understanding of how their number can be represented in different forms.
