Place Value Autumn Pack UK Curriculum 2014

This pack is Autumn themed and will work across countries but it is tailored for the UK.

Made to fall in-line with the New National Curriculum 2014, this pack is to be used with Year 2 Place Value objectives. All activities have the objective as worded in the curriculum on the top (no use of LO/ WALT/ LI to ensure it is useable across schools) and space for names. There is a mix of activities for group/guided work and independent reinforcement activities.

Included-
pg3-5 ‘What’s my number?’ base 10 cards with numbers to 100 represented. Use as a set of task cards or a treasure hunt/scoot activity

pg6/7 ‘What’s my number?’ base 10 recording sheet and answer sheet. Use as a recording sheet for task cards

pg8/9 ‘Spin it Squirrel’ large version for group work- spin 2 digits and make the largest number possible

pg10 ‘Spin it Squirrel’ spin 2 digits and make the largest number possible independent worksheet

pg11-17 ‘Place Value Bingo’ 6 number boards with 6 numbers below 100 on each and calling cards with numbers below 100 represented by base 10

pg18-21 ‘Partitioning Acorns’ 2 large sheets for group work- one using T&U, one using T&O and an independent worksheet (again with the options of U or O) using numbers below 100

pg22-28 ‘Three Digit Place Value’ acorns with 3 numbers already partitioned on them and space to recombine the numbers to make a 3 digit number. 6 large sheets for group work and an independent worksheet

pg29-35 ‘Greater Than and Less Than’ comparison activity- 6 large sheets for group work and an independent worksheet

pg36-43 ‘Partitioning Money’ cards with amounts below £1. Use as a set of task cards or a treasure hunt/ scoot activity. Also, recording sheets to accompany ‘Partitioning Money’ task cards. 1 set using ‘Tens & Units’ language and 1 set using ‘Tens & Ones’ language

pg44-45 12 ‘I have/ Who has’ cards using ‘Tens & Units’ language for numbers below 100
