Description
Place Value - 4 Digit Numbers - 'I Have, Who Has' game for grades 3-4: If you love the 'I Have, Who Has...?' games, here's a new one for Place Value. Students will practice matching 4-digit numerals to corresponding assortments of Base 10 Block illustrations on each card.
Here's a quick explanation of how the game is played:
Each card has two numbers. The first number is part of the 'I Have' statement. This will be read first as Base ten blocks - e.g. 3 thousands, 4 hundreds, 8 tens and 6 ones - 3 486 - 'I have 3 thousand, 4 hundred and eighty-six'. Then the other number is read as a numeral in a question - 'Who has 2013?' This is the fun part... the other players search their cards to find the one with 2013 shown using the base ten blocks. The player who has found the card reads it: 'I have... Who has...? And so the game continues...
Variations to this game are also included. The order in which the cards are laid out here follows the order in which the numbers will be called.
