Pixel Art in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets

Help your students deepen their understanding of basic formatting in Microsoft Excel with this fun pixel art activity. Students will apply basic excel skills such as cell fill, adjust column widths and row heights, rename sheet tabs, and locate cell references/ranges.

This activity comes complete with three pixel art images and the cell fill colors for all the cell references/range to design the image. After creating the three images, the students have the option to design their own pixel art and list the cell references/ranges by cell fill color.

This activity is compatible with Google Sheets as well.
