★ 3D Piñata Craft Decor

Need a more elaborate traditional ‘piñata navideña’ (Christmas piñata) for the ‘posada’ before Christmas? Simply print the piñata parts printable twice and fold each part in half and Ta-da!-for a half-3D piñata, i.e. flat on one side

Do this twice (total 4 copies printed) if you want to go the extra mile and make a full 360º 3D piñata.

(AS REQUESTED) More detailed instructions for the Piñata Crafts have been added to this product:

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

★ How to Make the 2D Paper Piñata Craft

1. Colour in your 2D template and cut out all the pieces. You should have one circle and five triangles.

2. Attach the five triangles spread around the edge of the circle.

Optional: Attach popsicle sticks to the back of the triangles for extra support.

3. Put the piñata together with the triangles spread around the circular shape.

4. Cut out the long rectangular pieces and attach them vertically to the end point of the triangles.

Optionally, punch a hole on your piñata to thread a piece of string to make it hangable, or alternatively, use tape to attach the string to the back of your piñata.

Mexican touch: If you want to make your piñatas super bonitas y tradicionales-looking…use bits of colored-tissue paper on your piñata craft.

★ How to Make the 3D Piñata Craft Decor

1. Colour in your template and cut out all the pieces. You should have two circles.

2. Fold all the triangles and 2 circles in half, then glue only one half of each piece and stick it to another piece of the same shape.

3. Put the piñata together with the triangles spread around the circular shape.

- The previous steps would make a half-3D piñata (flat on one side). For a full 3D piñata you would need to do this process twice and stick both flat-on-one-side piñatas together.

★ How to Make a 'fillable' piñata craft

1. Follow the instructions above to make the 2D Piñata Craft or the Half-3D Piñata craft.

2. Fold a paper plate in half, attach your piñata to it, and put one staple on each side to attach everything together. You’ve got a fillable piñata!
