Description
Did someone say pie? In this activity students will taste test 3 different pies (pumpkin, apple, and sweet potato) and tell which one they like the most. This activity is great any time of the year, but is especially fun around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.
THIS RESOURCE INCLUDES:
In this activity students will taste three different traditional holiday pie flavors to see which one they like the best. The lesson has students tasting sweet potato pie, apple pie, and pumpkin pie. I have also included blank versions of each worksheet if you would like to taste test 3 different flavors of pie. During the pie taste testing activity students will have a recording sheet to observe the sights, smells, tastes, and texture of each pie. After tasting they will also rate each pie. Once students have tried all three pies they will tell which pie is their favorite and why.
This resource also includes a writing and math extension if you would like to follow up with one of those. In the writing activity students can write an opinion paragraphing telling what pie they like the best and why. You could also have students pick one pie flavor and write a descriptive paragraph about that pie flavor. For the math activity students will take a poll to see which pie the class liked the best. Students will create a tally chart, record the frequency, make a bar graph, and then answer questions using the data that was collected.
Finally, with this purchase you will also receive a GoogleSlide lesson to use alongside this activity!
