Description

Celebrate Pi Day with this engaging webquest! UPDATED for 2024

How are Pi Day, Einstein, and Autism related? Albert Einstein's birthday is on Pi Day (March 14th) and some speculate that he was on the autism spectrum.

Personally, I love using the webquest as a complete activity. However, I have designed it so that each topic is on a separate page so you may choose to use only one or two parts of it.

The time required to complete the webquest varies according to the reading level, computer literacy, age, and interest level of your students. (Students who become really interested and delve deeply into the information may take a while!) I usually devote a class period (50 minutes) to the activity. Some students are finished by the end of the period, others are not. Students finish on their own if necessary using the computer lab or their home computer. I tend to make it due about a week later to allow all students plenty of time.

The PDF file does include active links!

Each year I check this Pi Day WebQuest to ensure that the links are still functional. Please remember that even links that are perfectly fine for students may sometimes be blocked by school filters. I recommend checking this prior to using the activity with students.
