Physics Do Nows - Aligned to New York State Standards
Description
There are 28 skill based files of daily do nows that generate and randomize the numbers in topics of kinematics, forces, energy, electricity, waves, and modern physics aligned to the New York State Physics Standards. You can make an infinite number of problems with the file due to the randomization. Ideal for daily warm ups and quizzing students on skills aligned to standards. Excellent for Regents prep.
I focus on one skill a week and use it daily. Every day they practice the skill at the beginning of class. At the end of the week I quiz them with the skill and they can retake the "quiz" as many times as needed. The randomization of the numbers and words makes planning and copying easy and helps prevent cheating. Grading is easy too as an original answer key is provided for each randomization.

How to use:
Every “focus” comes with a solutions box to the right of the file. To randomize the numbers for each problem, click in an empty cell and hit delete or F9 and a new set of numbers will generate. Use however you like! I use them for daily “do nows/warm ups.” We usually spend a week on one “focus” and then they are assessed on it at the end of the week. Most questions are modeled off the New York State physics regents exam.
It includes directions on how to use the excel files to generate randomization, a student reflection guide, and the New York State physics regents table that the files are based off of.
It includes warm ups for the following topics:
