In this lesson, students create a flipbook showing the following examples of physical properties of matter:
Color
Shape
Texture
Malleability
Solubility
Density
State of Matter
This activity comes with instructions on how to fold the flipbook as well as a scoring guide so the students know what is expected to be in their flipbook. This flipbook is a great visual and is an engaging way to teach physical properties of matter. I love to use this activity before beginning a lab on physical and chemical changes.
I also have a physical properties of matter powerpoint that you can use along with this activity. It has links you can go to and the students can do their own research to complete the activity.
