What educators are saying

This is my first year teaching PE without a full time PE coach. Since I teach 6th grade I made a few of them coaches and this is one of the resources we us for warmups.

Description

You will love these multifunctional cards that use the basic exercises kids need to be fit and strong!

These 90 activity cards each have the following:
- Name of the exercise
- A picture showing how to do the exercise
- How many reps or seconds to hold a stretch

First I laminate the cards and I divide them into four groups (upper body, muscle movement, flexibility and lower body). I post the cards on the white board and as the students enter the gym they look on the board and then complete the warm up. The pictures help students with special needs and those that are unable to read English understand how to do each exercise. I usually supervise warm up and help kids that are having problems. I use a magnetic clip to hold them up and flip the cards each day. Warm up is always different!

Secondly they can be used for for fitness stations, work out circuits, classroom fitness breaks and energizers.

Finally, the cards can be integrated into a number of PE games that require students to do an activity. For example, in dodgeball, if a student was hit they would go to a fitness station and do two cards to return into the game. The possibilities are endless!
