Phonology Maximal Pairs Oppositions | Quick Skill Drill Cards
Have you tried adding maximal oppositions to your evidenced-based phonology therapy? This Phonology Maximal Oppositions pack contains maximal pairs for your quick skill and drill speech therapy sessions. Maximal pairs are best used for moderate/severe children. It is meant to change the child’s entire phonological system because research shows it promotes generalization. (Research: Gierut, 2007)
Phonology Multiple Oppositions | Quick Skill Drill Cards
Multiple Oppositions is a contrast therapy method for treating moderate to severe phonological disorders. Children with more severe phonological disorders may substitute several sounds with a single consonant sound, known as phoneme collapse. Therefore, two or more words in the child’s inventory are pronounced the same. Ex: Collapsing /p, b, fr/, “sh” to /g/ to result in pie, by, fry, and shy produced as guy. This product is meant to be a starting point in aiding your therapy planning to use multiple oppositions ONLY and NOT a comprehensive program.
