"Fuss Free Phonics Homework" incorporates decoding, reading, comprehension, and writing into fun, effective phonics practice activities!
There is NO prep for teachers, which is important when you have so many things to plan! Each page clearly communicates our new learning goals in a box at the top and gives families an effective way to practice without taking too much time or causing frustration! The directions do not change so children can become more confident and independent, which families love!
There are two pages included per phonics skill. There are opportunities to practice reading, tracing, writing, and brainstorming words. There is also a fun optional word building activity that fits the needs of those families who are always looking for an extra way to practice! The second page shows a short phonics passage with comprehension questions that gives children the opportunity to read familiar and new words, think about the text, and respond. There are fiction and nonfiction passages with photographs included.
I also included a parent letter about phonics homework and tips for helping little ones grow as readers and writers. There are two editable versions included so you can make the letter fit your needs.
