Phonics BUNDLE: Continuous Blending Fluency Dictation - UFLI Foundations aligned

Are you looking for a phonics review page for each skill? Do you want something that packs a LOT into one page, without looking too busy? These NO PREP phonics practice pages are fabulous extensions for phonics lessons. Each page includes graphemes/phonograms, continuous blending, fluency, and dictation practice pages. Do you use UFLI? If so, they are aligned to their program. However, they also work with ANY phonics program. The phonics focus skills are listed on each page.

This product aligns with UFLI Foundations' scope and sequence. It was not created, nor endorsed, by UFLI. It does not use any material from the manual or Toolbox. This is an original product.

If you use UFLI,

• Set 1 covers lessons 4-34
• Set 2 covers lessons 35-62
• Set 3 covers lessons 63-98
• Set 4 covers lessons 99-128

But, again, they can be used with ANY phonics program.

Skills Covered:

• Set 1: Letters/Sounds, CVC, -s, CCVC, CVCC
• Set 2: CVC, CCVC, CVCC, FLSZ, -all, -oll, -ull, digraphs, CVCe, soft ce & ge
• Set 3: Spelling patterns at the end of words, simple open/closed syllables, -y, r-controlled vowels, vowel teams, diphthongs, silent letters
• Set 4: Suffixes, prefixes, low-frequency spellings

The skills are presented in a sequential order and build on previously learned skills.

These are TEACHER LED activities, which can be used in whole or small group settings.

The focus skills/words are listed on the bottom left corner of each page. It can supplement any phonics program. If you use UFLI Foundations for your phonics program, you will find it is in alignment with lessons 4-128.

Page Details:

• Graphemes/phonograms to review
• Continuous blending practice with the body-coda blending method
• Stair-step Fluency Practice: Scaffolding is built in to this part so beginning readers can focus on one word at at time, as they read a sentence.
• Fluency Phrase Scooping: Practice one phrase at a time before putting them together in a sentence. (In set 4, there are two options for each page when it comes to this step. The first page has two sentences with all the guided "scooping" lines. The second option has one sentence with the "scooping" lines, and the second sentence is left for the students to scoop into meaningful phrases. This step differs from sets 1-3, which have all the scooping lines in place.)
• Dictation: Letters and words lead into simple sentences. The sentences progressively get more complex. A dictation list is provided so you can print and teach.

Teaching tips and suggestions for use are provided for each step. You can also use any part of it as an open-ended activity and add your own touch to the lesson.

• 1 PDF with fun "kid-reader" graphics on each page
• 1 PDF that is plain, without graphics. These are especially helpful for older students with foundational reading gaps who don't always want younger graphics.
