Description
This is a Google Slides that is meant for phase 1 of the AVID note taking strategy. These slides are meant to give students inspiration for the various ways their notes could look. The more personalized the notes formatting, the more engagement and learning takes place. My motto is "your notes can look however you imagine them, but they must all have the same key components for learning."
I would share this with the students and provide them with various tools to personalize their notes in the classroom such as skinny markers, colored pencils, highlighters, sticky notes, rulers, CD's (for tracing), tape, and plain and lined paper.
