What educators are saying
This is a great center and whole group activity to accompany our Peter Pan read aloud. I'm so thankful for it and the conversations it has sparked with my students!
Description
Context clues are fun with Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and the rest of the gang! This quick literacy center activity will help your students apply context clues to determine the meaning of unknown words. This activity pairs perfectly with the third grade EngageNY ELA Module 3A, or you can use it along with a class read aloud or small group literature circle novel study of the book Peter Pan.
This set contains 32 vocabulary words, broken into two sets of 16 words each. Students will find the vocabulary word, read the context sentences in a short passage from the novel, and the find the definition. The context sentences passages come from the Classic Starts version of Peter Pan.
