Description
Persuasive Writing I am NOT a Turkey!
This is such a fun persuasive writing activity for Thanksgiving! The students disguise their own turkey into something or someone and convince the readers to NOT cook them for Thanksgiving! I sent home a letter and made the disguising part of the project as homework. Then, the students came to school with their turkeys and we began our writing unit.
Includes:
-Turkey
-Note home
-"I am not a turkey! I am a ______" slips (attach to the turkey)
-Paper describing their turkey
- graphic organizers for paragraph (4 reasons)
-Paper template
-Booklet
You have the options of using the paper or the students can create a book.
