Description
What kid doesn’t have a famous person that they admire? Who doesn’t’ like to spend money? This download combines both interests into one motivational activity.
In this project, students will research a famous person alive today, focusing on their hobbies, personal preferences, family life, etc. Then take the information they’ve learned about their famous person and become their personal shopper. They will then use a budget of $5,000 to buy gifts that fit their person’s lifestyle. The students will then share their information in a PowerPoint or poster project.
The students will use research, computation, critical and creative thinking skills as the complete this real world application of math problem solving.
