Percussion Discovery Learning Centers

With these resources, you can set up discovery learning centers for your students to learn about the percussion family and participate either individually or cooperatively in groups. Typically, I set up centers with classroom percussion instruments. Then students rotate between the centers playing the instruments and recording

1. How do you make sounds on these instruments (hit, shake, or scape)?
2. Are the instruments pitched or unpitched?

• 5 versions of percussion sound worksheets (adaptable to which instruments you have available in your classroom)
• 5 versions of pitched vs. unpitched worksheets (adaptable to which instruments you have available in your classroom)
