Description

Study the Native American region of the People of the Plains with your class. This unit has lessons and activities about the Plains Indians. Topics include buffalo hunts (and why the people of the plains are also known as the people of the buffalo), daily life, arts and crafts, their forced migration to reservations, and life today.

This unit is a great source of informational text. The final activity allows students to create a diorama pop-up book about the people of the plains. The lessons incorporate both reading and social studies. A great way to study Native Americans from the plains area.

This product has been updated with both printable and digital files using Easel.
