    Description

Revamp the way you do peer-editing with these Interview templates! This activity requires students to collaborate out loud and talk through their writing ideas, instead of marking off a checklist. These interviews encourage students to reflect on the content of their essays and analyze how each part interacts with their main idea. The great thing about this resource is that it can be done even without a finished draft, so no one misses out!

    • Students will interview a classmate about their first draft of an essay. (Questions are similar to a peer-review checklist, but the answers come directly from the author)
    • After the interview, students will independently complete the self-reflection by answering similar questions they answered in the interview portion.
      • This part can be done with or without an essay, but I prefer to have students compare their answers with their essay draft to check for all parts and make revisions.
      • Students can also complete the reflection and then use it to compare and revise at a later date.

    Includes:

    • Completed example worksheets.
    • Fillable .pdf copies of the worksheets for online use.
    • Printable .pdf copies of worksheets (without .pdf text boxes).
