Description

The Pearl Harbor Webquest uses an amazing website that allows students to learn all of the major details related to attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II. Please check out the website below:

http://storymaps.esri.com/stories/2016/pearl-harbor/

Click here to view the website.

The following ideas/events are covered in this webquest:

Reasons behind the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor

The voyage of the Japanese fleet

First wave and mistakes made by the American military

Second wave and the damage to American ships

American response to the attacks on Pearl Harbor

Legacy of Pearl Harbor today

The webquest contains 40 questions and an answer key is included for the teacher. A QR code is included along with the traditional website links. I recommend using this activity as an introduction activity or as an opportunity for students to further explore the history of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The webquest will take most students at least 30 to 50 minutes to complete depending on age. Feel free to modify this activity if needed to fit the needs of your students.

I would like to thank Dandy Doodles for their wonderful clip art!
