Patterns and Sorting, Craft and Worksheets Math By Myself

I created this Patterns and Sorting Centers, Craft and Worksheets Activity pack for my students to use during our Guided Math "Math By Myself" station.

Once I have taught our concepts whole group, I allow my students the opportunity to practice the skills independently. My students typically complete this packet in 2/3 sessions in the Math By Myself center. Whatever isn't finished can be used as an early finisher, morning work, or extra practice. This can also be sent home for parents to help review with their child before our test.

I've included the following cut/glue:

3 repeating letter/short vowel patterns cut and glue to reinforce patterns using letters.

3 label and choose the growing or repeating pattern cut and glue.

1 growing pattern with numbers cut and glue to reinforce skip counting by 2, 5, and 10.

1 growing or repeating pattern sorting cut and glue.

2 animal sorts (into 2 options and then into 3 plus a you choose how it is sorted option)

1 shape sort (circle, square or triangle)

3 number sense sorts. Students sort using tally marks, tens, fingers, ten frames, number that comes in between.

Activities include:

Color cut and order pattern puzzles for ABC, AB, (AB, ABB, ABBB, ABBBB), ABB,

Color cut and and determine the next part of the pattern (teacher version for use in groups and a second option in bw to complete as recording sheet)

Teacher small group center for sorting, along with a sort mat. Students have access to color and bw to work in small group. There are three of these activities.

Finally, I have included a Pattern Fish craft. Students can use bingo daubers, pipe cleaners, crayons or tissue paper to decorate their pattern fish and then label how they made their pattern fish.
