- Use a rule to generate an x/y table
- Turn the x/y table into ordered pairs
- Plotting ordered pairs on the coordinate plane (quadrant 1 only)
- Connect the points to form a line
- Compare and contrast different lines made by different rules
- Later in the lesson, students do this process in reverse! Given a line on a coordinate plane, students find the ordered pairs, create an x/y table and then determine the rule
