Description

This is an interactive Notebook 11 file to help students learn pattern rules. The "Pattern Machine" shows numbers going in and numbers coming out. Students look at the numbers and determine the pattern rule. When they have guessed the rule they press on the machine handle to reveal the answer. On the answer page they will press the new question tab to reveal a new question. There are 20 slides in this "Pattern Machine" activity suitable for gr 3-4 students.
You may modify the existing questions very easily to create extra questions. I load the program onto our classroom laptops and ask the students to create their own questions to share with their classmates. They love to share their personal "Pattern Machines".
