Description

Students can use these no prep posters to demonstrate their understanding of the different parts of speech. They can be used as an assessment for learning (as a diagnostic activity to see what knowledge your students are bringing to a concept), assessment as learning (as a formative assessment during a unit or as a review before the end of a unit), or as assessment of learning (as a summative task at the end of a unit).

Posters Include:

• General Parts of Speech (great for assessment at the end of a unit)

• Noun

• Common Noun

• Proper Noun

• Abstract Noun

• Possessive Noun

• Plural Noun

• Pronoun

• Verb

• Adjective

• Adverb

• Conjunction

• Interjection

• Preposition

• Article

• Blank Poster

Teachers could have all students complete the same poster, or have students create different posters to create a grammar concept wall full of visually appealing posters.

These posters make a GREAT sub day activity, needing little to no prep for you or the sub. They would also make a great addition to your writing or grammar journals or notebooks.

Posters are in black and white and are easy to reproduce. Students are expected to add visual appeal to the posters by adding color and creativity.

A rubric is also included for summative or formative assessment. I have also made a student self-reflection checklist for students to use prior to handing in their posters.

I have also included a poster without a concept title in case you want to add a concept that is not covered in this resource.

Completed posters will make a fabulous bulletin board

display that both students and teachers will be proud of!
