Mix and match, and find your partner: Cooperative Learning groups, reading partners, peer editing pairs, exit tickets and wrap ups, math groups, PD discussion partners,... we love all the ways!
Included: 50 animals cards, for 28+ different partner groups (Pairs & Triads)
One approach that has worked well for us (with students and also in PD/ PLCs!) is to combine with 2 other Cooperative Learning structures:
1) Trading cards: learners mix around the room, great each other, and trade cards along the way.
2) Mix-Freeze-Group. Call 'freeze' and have everyone find their partner. Share work, discuss a prompt, or answer a question together. If you like the groups, send them off to their next task, if not, mix, trade, freeze, and repeat!
