Paper Molas
This lesson includes a detailed 17-slide PowerPoint presentation packed with information about Molas, a fun and vibrant type of art that is handmade by the Guna women of Panama. This is a type of art that is made exclusively by women for women.
This presentation also includes information about the Republic of Panama, tertiary colors and some of the local wildlife which are often featured in traditional molas. Everything you need to confidently lead students through a class discussion and successfully complete the project is right here! Students will have fun choosing their animal from Panama and coming up with their own patterns and designs to create a paper mola in the style of the Guna!
