Description
Use this to help your students practice probability vocabulary and draw the connection between outcomes and probability with a fun hands-on activity!
For this activity, you'll need to create three paper bags with 10 different colored tiles in each. I usually use all one color in the first bag (certain/impossible), an even mixture in the second bag (equally likely), and mostly one color and some of another color in the third (likely/unlikely). Make sure you label the bags as "Bag 1", "Bag 2", and "Bag 3" so students know which bag they're recording for.
