Pandemic Unit / Lesson Plan Template

Are you unsure how to plan your units and lessons this coming school year, because you do not know whether your school will be in person, online, or hybrid? Do you find that your usual planning outlines do not work? Do you want to save time by creating unit and lesson plans that will apply to any format, even if your school suddenly switches from one instructional model to another?

Then this is the template for you! It works for any grade level and subject area, including homeschooling, it can be used for both units and weeky lessons, and you can customize it. You can fill it out in Word or by hand.

As a teacher, I realized that I do not want to write three different plans for each possible instructional model as we react to the pandemic, so I created a template in Word that can be used both for units and lessons. It provides space to plan independent/remote activities (homework, independent practice, online resources), as well as in-person lessons and their online counterparts if you suddenly have to switch from one to the other.

The template includes space for standards, objectives, main concepts, activities, assessments, resources, and notes, and you can add more components to it based on your needs. Just copy and paste the template as many times as you need and fill it out in Word, or print as many copies as you need, fill them out by hand, and put them in a binder to create your own lesson plan book.

Directions are included, and I added a sample unit and a sample lesson plan.
