Pancake Day French Mardi Gras

This interesting resource contains a 4-page French workbook with a cross word, a vocab list and the crossword solution. A 9-slide presentation includes all tasks from the workbook and 16 picture cards feature all photos from the book too. Ideal for class work or homework, the workbook which is also ready for use with Easel by TpT, takes learners through the French tradition of Mardi Gras and cooking crêpes on Shrove Tuesday. Tasks include reading comprehension with questions, naming baking ingredients, putting pictures (of crêpes making process) into the correct order, and reading / translating a recipe.

Finally there is a crossword for learners to complete by solving clues in French. A solution to the individual clues is provided.

A vocabulary list is also included in this resource., to enable learners to complete the tasks in the work book individually or in pairs/groups. This makes the resource ideal for a cover lesson.

Why not stretch this out by asking learners to make up their own word search or crossword with clues in French or English? If you have a teaching kitchen available, then why not take your students to try out the recipe and 'eat their work'!?
