Description
This paleontology lesson includes a power point on fossil formation and then leads your students in a pretend dig where they have to try and figure out what the animal is from the fossil bones found.
This enjoyable activity will engage your students and get them thinking like a real paleontologist.
This lesson includes a powerpoint slide and some handouts for your students to fill out. In the first part of the lesson your students are learning about fossils and in the second part your students work in small groups to and carry out the work of a paleontologist as they try to uncover what the mystery animal is.
