Description

CAPITALISATION and PUNCTUATION FILE

This Punctuation File introduces the BASIC RULES of:

CAPITAL LETTERS
The PERIOD

The QUESTION MARK

The EXCLAMATION POINT and

The COMMA.

How I use this resource:

· I split the class into smaller groups. As we discuss the rules for the different punctuation marks, each group comes up with an example. There are small cards included on which the groups could write their examples.

· Afterwards we put the examples up on the wall. There are larger cards included under which you could put up the examples.

· Now, students complete their PUNCTAUTION FILES and choose examples off the wall.

Whenever we do writing tasks, this PUNCTUATION FILE students should have their PUNCTUATION FILES on their desks for quick reference. If they make punctuation mistakes in their writing tasks, refer them back to their Punctuation Files to look up correct usage.

TIP

Students should first complete the PUNCTUATION FILE and THEN cut, paste and put the file together. Mistakes happen and it is demotivationg to start cutting and pasting all over again after a silly mistake has crept in.

The TEMPLATE was bought at THE CANDY CLASS – check it out here on TPT!
