PR - 95 Theses Translation Worksheet - Protestant Reformation

In this activity students will choose 12 of Martin Luther's 95 Theses and will analyze each to determine the meaning behind the statement. Included on the worksheet is a space to write the original statement made by Luther (translated into English of course) You can find multiple copies of the 95 Theses by doing a simple google search. Once the student has the original statement they then must use context clues and make inferences on what they believe that statement means. Once they have their "translation" I have included a copy of the actual modern translation to see if they were correct in determining what the statement meant. This activity generally takes my students 2 class periods.
