This set of 27 Boom Cards will reinforce students’ understanding of the 8 phases of the moon.

►►ACTIVITY

✅ The first card provides students with instructions to complete the task.

✅ In cards 2-9, students are required to identify the moon phase. They are given information on the visual representing the moon phase.

✅ In cards 10-17, students will identify the single moon phase from a given visual (no information).

✅ In cards 18-25, students will identify the correct moon phase from a choice of five moon phases.

✅ Card 26 culminates the activity by requiring students to type in all eight moon phases.

✅ The last card signifies the end of the activity.

►►This activity gradually scaffolds the assimilation of content knowledge in manageable chunks making abstract content more concrete.

⚫ Set up an account with Boom Learning (if you are new to the site) to add this resource to your library.

⚫ You may set up a classroom to assign these cards to your students or generate a ‘Fast Pin’ or a ‘Hyperplay’ link to share via your online learning platform similar to Google Classroom and the like.
