How I Use It In My Classroom:

I have used this with my 5th-8th grade students for years. We do it at the beginning of the year as a Get to Know You Activity. We talk about what makes a person who they are and how we have inside character traits and outside traits. I have students complete the Personality Inventories. We also use it as an opportunity to discuss our cultures and how they are the same and different. I then have students do the Picasso Portrait Personality Glyph (we like to paint it, but instructions for painting and coloring are both included). When finished, they present their Self Portrait. Finally, we hang them on the wall for the entire year for a wonderfully-colorful art display AND reminder of their personality types for the remainder of the year.
