PEEL Essay Kit Graphic Organizer Outline STAAR

I have completely revamped this product! It is now 12 pages instead of 6!

This contains graphic organizers for writing an essay along with an outline, handouts that explain how to write an expository essay and a persuasive essay, a list of suggested essay topics, etc. I created a graphic organizer for the PEEL acronym for body paragraphs (Point, Evidence, Explain, Link). The graphic organizers include a model with an example filled in.

I teach in Texas and use these to prepare my students for the STAAR English I or II test depending on which one I'm teaching that year. I also use them in summer school when I tutor students who need help passing the STAAR. However, this can be used for any long essay composition test or in class writing.

It also includes handouts for students with the structures of both the persuasive and expository essays. There is a list of topics for both essay types to get you started and a list of resources.
