Description

Words matter and stay with you, and the trick to life is not letting those words tear you down–let them make you better and stronger.  In Taylor Swift’s song, “thanK you aIMee,” she does just that in her writing of the song/poem.

Write about a moment in your life when you felt negatively about yourself because of someone’s actions or words.  How did you manage these feelings? Do you still carry them? What if those words and memories you don’t want to think about shaped you into the person you are today–as bad as the healing was?

Today we’ll be writing a poem about how to turn a terrible moment into one of the most beneficial experiences you’ve had in your life--just like how Taylor Swift did in her song to (we can only assume through her clues in her words) Kim Kardashian.
