Description

PBL: Project Based Learning Long Division Practice Run a Pizza Place: Put a new twist on division in your classroom with this Project Based Learning Resource! Students will help Pete with his Pizzeria as they solve division problems !!

Included is a menu to Pete's Pizzeria where students will refer to as they answer real word questions about Pete's daily sales. Your kids will use long division with 1 and 2 divisors to answer these questions.

These daily sales are broken down with 2 days per page along with a bonus question on each page! This allows you to use this activity over the course of a few days or you can combine all days (Monday-Saturday) to be used as a take home project. Whatever works best for your students needs and classroom!

After your students have helped Pete calculate daily sales of how many of each kind of pizza was sold, there are 2 additional worksheets for students to use long division to determine how many pizzas Pete can afford to make based on his budget for each type of pizza.

There are 2 types of this last "budget" sheet! One allows students to evenly divide with no remainders. The other is great for your higher students who are skilled in long division with remainders and understand that Pete must not go over his budget! (So they will understand in order to NOT go over his budget he may have money left over after they have divided and determined what he can afford.)
